Remember Babybird…??? No?
Because you’re gorgeous I’d do anything for yoooooou…
How about now?
When I first read of Depp’s collaboration with Babybird I was shocked.
I mean Babybird, the band from my Now that’s what I call music 29 compilation? Really? W…How?
Apparently the band are Depp’s favourite British band.

A suprising collaboration compared to Depp’s past colabs with the likes of The Pogues, Tim Burton, Oasis, The Fast Show etc, he keeps us on our toes, I like this man.
Depp features on Babybird’s new track Unlovable and not only that, Depp has unleashed even more of those creative juices of his by directing the music video for the track too.
Produced by Unison and shot on location in the UK at Hatfield House ( home to our great Queen Elizabeth I), the promo sets out to be a moving piece of period drama. The promo has now been banned by some media organisations including Yahoo, this is due to the dramatic hanging scene.
Now when someone tells you not to look at something doesn’t this make you want to see it? So why bother drawing attention to the thing in the first place by banning it. I think we all know, if you want something to be big, ban it, imagine what adding a touch of Johnny Depp is has done… BINGO!
Depp was rumoured to play with Babybird in November of last year at the bands comeback gig in East London. This resulted in tickets being snapped up and the gig selling out leaving lots of Depp fans (myself included) left hanging (no pun intended). Poor Babybird, performing as the headliner only to feel like the support act. For most of the audience there was disappointment, Depp did not show, Babybird frontman Stephen Jones kindly perked the crowd up by going on to say…
“We all know why you’re here, he’s not coming. He’s in my hotel naked and buttered up ready for action. Johnny Deep is what I call him!”
(save that thought)
